Kampala, the equator and on to Ishasha, Queen Elizabeth NP
After an early start, we will travel west to the equator for coffee and onto Mbarara for lunch. We’ll then head on through the wetlands and tea ranches of western Uganda and down on to the fields of the Queen Elizabeth protection area, arriving at our lodge in the late evening. We may possess energy for a night game drive, looking for a hyena, panther elephant and obviously, those lions up a tree, or you may simply want to watch the nightfall from the serenity of your lodge bar.
Major Game Drive and Journey up to the Misty Forests of Bwindi
After an early start, we’ll go for a game drive in the Ishasha segment of the park. While enjoying the wild, we’ll be vigilant for the renowned tree-climbing lions and sound populace of hyena just as elephant, topi, hippos and numerous antelopes. After lunch at the lodge, we’ll take the winding street going through the lakes, forests and piles of western Uganda. We arrive at our goal overlooking the Ruhija division of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the late evening.
The present-day! After a briefing from your ranger, you head by walking to discover your gorilla group. The walk can be anything from 30 mins to 4 hours yet is as a rule in the 1-2 hour range.
