This safari takes you to the magnificent Murchison Falls, which boast a world-famous scenic landscape. A game drive and a boat cruise along the Nile River are also included. Watch as this massive body of water squeezes its way through a seven-meter gorge before exploding 40 meters below in a thunderous explosion. It then transforms into a tranquil river with a plethora of animals and birds along its banks. Later, you’ll travel to Jinja for some water rafting.
Murchison Falls National Park, You will be driven to Murchison Falls National Park via Malinda and Masindi after an early breakfast. Before entering the park at the Kichumbanyobo gate, have lunch in Masindi. You’ll come to a halt at the top of the falls to admire the location that gave the park its name. The Nile squeezes through a seven-meter gorge here before plunging 40 meters into a tranquil river below. The lodge will be your home for dinner and the night.
National Park of Murchison Falls Before going on a game drive in the park’s northern area in search of some of the “big five,” have breakfast (buffaloes, lions, elephants and possibly leopards). Rothschild giraffes, bushbucks, warthogs, waterbuck, and a variety of antelope are among the other animals you might see. You’ll return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a thrilling Nile launch cruise in the afternoon. Take in the various birds, numerous hippos, and giant crocodiles on the banks as you sail close to the bottom of the falls. You might see the rare shoebill stork, as well as a variety of other bird species if you’re lucky. The lodge will be your home for dinner and the night.
Jinja defeats Murchison. After breakfast, you’ll travel to Jinja Town to see the source of Africa’s longest river, the Nile. You’ll arrive in the early evening and spend the rest of the evening relaxing at your lodge until dinner time. Alternatively, before your overnight stay at the Paradise Hotel Jinja, take a short walking tour of Jinja.
Jinja – Kampala After breakfast, take a short drive through this historic town before boarding a boat to explore the Nile’s source. The rest of the day will be spent rafting before returning to your Kampala hotel or to the airport for your flight home.
